(Note that Google Maps spells Xativa as Jativa).
This will give you a very good idea of the landscape around us and you can navigate the map say to the North, if you start your journey from Valencia airport (Manises) Alternatively if you are starting your journey from Alicante airport (near Elche - south of Alicante city) you need to navigate South on the map.
(Remember to close the white address box - click the cross in right hand corner)
You can use the tools to the left hand side of the maps to zoom in, zoom out, move the map North, South, East and West etc.
On the initial map, of our locality, presented to you, if you look North East of the green arrowhead you will see Barxeta and a road leading eastwards to Simat de Valldigna, then onto Tavernes del Valldigna and the AP7 (A7 and E15 are other names for the same motorway) and the N332 which is the Mediterranean costal road that runs the length of the Mediterranean coast of Spain.
Note that Simat de Valldigna is found at sea level, whilst Barxeta is at the top of a mountain range.
If you are coming from Simat de Valldigna, you will climb out of the village on a road signposted Barxeta. This road is a very scenic mountain road. Once at the top of the mountain the road starts to descend, shortly you will see a signpost for Barxeta and Pla de Corrals. Take the Barxeta turn, which is to your right at that junction.
Once "local" to us you can use the following map to home in on Barking Barxeta kennels.
